Graduated Dayton Christian High School in 1979
Attended Wright State University; majored in Computer Science
Worked as a computer engineer for 20 years, working for multiple companies to include MCI Telecommunications and Digital Equipment Corporation.
In September of 1997 Mark was sworn in as a reserve Deputy Sheriff with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
In April of 2003 Mark decided to change careers and he joined the Sheriff’s Office full time. In 2004 he was transferred to Investigations as a Detective specializing in Computer crimes and Internet crimes against children. Mark also performed computer forensics for the Sheriff’s Office. Mark Retired from the Sheriff’s Office in October of 2014. He now provides consulting on computer forensics for criminal and civil cases.

In December of 2007 Mark was appointed to the Lewis Palmer Board of Education, he was elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2011 and 2015. He is currently the school board President.
Mark and his wife Helen have lived in the Monument area for over 17 years. Both of their children attend District 38 schools.
